Community Meeting

In the Spring of 2010 students, teachers, parents, neighbors and friends of PS 56 (The Lewis Latimer School) will create a mural on the school's wall at Gates Avenue and Downing Place. This will be a public art project joining the school and local community through workshops, public meetings and open painting days. The mural making process will take place in April, May and June, drawing inspiration and imagery from the ideas and experiences of neighbors in Clinton Hill & Bedford-Stuyvesant. As a collaborative, we seek ideas, questions and participation from all who are interested in being part of this project.

Our first Community Meeting will take place on Thursday, April 22 from 6pm-8pm in the Cafteria at PS 56. Come join in arts activities for all ages, mingle with your neighbors and other parents, and enjoy some refreshments. We look forward to seeing you there!
